Building the software that runs 6G.

MOSAIC Lab is a multidisciplinary research laboratory led by Prof. Dr. Tarik Taleb, joining networking, edge computing, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, security and automation to shape the technologies behind next-generation mobile networks.

WE BUILD. WE TEST. WE LEARN. WE INNOVATE.

How we work

From idea to running system to standard.

Every result we publish has been built and measured first.

  1. 01We build

    Prototypes & testbeds

Open-source 5G/6G stacks, edge clouds and orchestration platforms, built and run in our own lab.

    Implementations
  2. 02We test

    Experimental validation

End-to-end trials on real hardware: vehicles, drones, XR devices and satellite links.

    Projects
  3. 03We learn

    Measurement & AI

Data from every experiment feeds models for AI-native network control and automation.

    Research
  4. 04We innovate

    Papers & standards

Results published at top venues and carried into 3GPP, ETSI and industry roadmaps.

Research directions

Four verticals, one programmable fabric.

Network softwarization, edge cloud and AI-native control, applied where 6G has to deliver: on the road, in immersive services, in orbit and in the air.

All research

Deterministic connectivity, cooperative perception and in-network intelligence for vehicles that decide in milliseconds.

  • Real-time uplink processing for sensor sharing
  • Cooperative perception and V2X at the edge
  • In-network intelligence for millisecond decisions

Philosophy

Hands-on research, with impact on standards.

We combine fundamental research with system architecture, implementation, prototyping and experimental validation to develop intelligent, connected, secure and sustainable technologies for future communication and computing systems.

We build testbeds, prototype new concepts, integrate open technologies, and validate ideas in realistic environments. Our ambition is to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions while contributing to the technologies and standards that will shape future networks.
